Supervision
Clinical Supervision for Therapists & Trainee Counsellors
My approach to supervision is that it is a collegial relationship between peers. In the relationship I will support you in your clinical decision-making, help you think through complexity, and hold space for the whole of you as a therapist.
I use the seven-eyed model, which means we pay attention to everything: your client, yourself, the relationship between you, the wider systems at play, and the world we're all working in. I truly believe that supervision works best when you feel ale to bring the whole of yourself and your experiences. It’s a space to reflect and integrate your experiences, understanding your responses, and developing your practice in a way that's grounded and reflective.
I also offer practical support: caseload management, business decisions, navigating tricky professional dynamics. Supervision isn't only about clinical theory, it's about the reality of sustaining a therapeutic practice.
I offer individual supervision and am also open to working with groups of up to 4 people. Group supervision uses the same fee structure per person, with session length depending on group size.
UKCP-registered supervisor and tutor of counselling students, which keeps my supervision work connected to the wider therapeutic field and grounded in ongoing learning.
Sessions are offered in person in both Hexham and Gosforth from a clinic setting and online.
Outdoor Supervision
I also offer outdoor supervision in Hexham, Northumberland, walking and sitting together in nature as we reflect on your clinical work. This way of being together with your work offers something restorative that traditional supervision doesn't always provide.
